How do I rent from James & James?
Step by step process of renting from us.

How far in advance should I place my order?
We recommend placing your order as soon as you know the date of your event. If your event is a few weeks away stop by our store and we will guide you on what you should wear to the type of event. The thing that separates us the most from any other store is same-day service. Last minute invite to a wedding or you just completely forgot? Do not worry we have you covered. Other companies say they can have it but they usually end up sending them to us.

When should I return my rental?
Our rental policy requires that you send back your order within two days of your event. Otherwise, late fees may apply. If for some reason, you cannot return your items in 2 days due to travel or other circumstances, please contact our store and we will be happy to work with you.
What brands do you carry?
We’ve invested in the highest quality tuxedos and suits by partnering with world famous brands. We carry with top notch tux makers like Michael Kors, Ike Behar, Perry Ellis, Ralph Lauren, Enzo Tovare, Calvin Klein, Madison James, London Fog, Mantoni, Bertolini, and much more. People have always looked down at tuxedo rentals but we are here to make that change.
Can I buy a rental from you?
We do not sell our used rentals. Although, we currently have a retail section for our garments and accessories.

What if one or more of my items do not fit?
Call us within 48 hours of receiving your garments to take advantage of our fit guarantee, and we will send a replacement.
When do I receive the tuxedo?
We ship your suit or tuxedo 12 days before your event and you will typically receive it on your front doorstep at least a week before the event.
Is there an Extended Rental Option?

Q: How soon before my event do I need to place my order?
A: For weddings, we recommend booking three weeks prior to your event so we can ship it out to you and have a full week with the tuxedo.
What if I am traveling the week of the event?
We make it very easy. Typically, we will send the tuxedo to your home and if any items do not fit, then we send the replacement gear to your destination. For example, if you are traveling on Wednesday for a wedding in another town (like a hotel), then you would receive your tuxedo at home on Tuesday and replacements would be sent to the wedding destination by Thursday (at the hotel, if applicable).
Does the suit get wrinkled?
We use wrinkle-free sleeves, in-box hangers, and perfectly sized boxes to make sure everything is shipped wrinkle free. We recommend to hang your gear up once you receive it.
When do I need to return the tux?
The first business day after the event - this is typically the Monday following a weekend wedding.
Where do re-fits/fixes get delivered?
We can deliver anywhere. Typically, we send resizes to the customer address on hand, but we can also deliver to hotels.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Rental Fees and Credit Card Authorizations: The rental fee ("Rental Fee") for the Products will be the Rental Fees, accidental damage waiver, taxes and any other associated charges detailed on the checkout page of our website in connection with your rental order. Upon placing your order for Products, you authorize us to charge your credit card for the Rental Fee. We will charge your credit card the amount of the Rental Fee immediately upon you completing your order on our website. You represent that you are authorized to use the chosen payment method (including, without limitation, credit cards) for the purpose of renting the Products as described herein. A reservation for a Product on our website is an order for the rental of that Product, no matter how far in advance the order is placed. In addition to the Rental Fee, you further authorize us to charge your credit card for any Late Fees, Replacement Fees or other damage amounts as set forth below.
Product Quality and Sizing: We will ship to you the Products and sizes as requested by you through our website ordering system. When you receive the Products you ordered, you should immediately inspect and try on the Products. If any item does not fit due to measurement error, you must notify us within 48 hours of order delivery, and we will ship you a replacement item at no additional cost to you, except for the actual cost of shipping.
James & James Formalwear authorizes you to have a tailor make minor adjustments to the coat sleeve length and/or pant length; provided that you follow our Rental Tailoring Instructions. After the altered Product is returned an we determine that you followed the Rental Tailoring Instructions, we will refund your account for the cost of such alterations, as specified in the receipt from the tailor, up to $15 [per order altered].
Cancellations: You may cancel your order for Products at least thirty (30) days prior to your event date and receive a full refund with no cancellation fee. For cancellations that are less than twenty (21) days prior to your event date, you will receive a rental credit for the full order amount, good towards a future rental order. Shipping and Return: Your rental order will be shipped to you via United Parcel Service (UPS) or FedEx Ground Delivery, and will be scheduled to arrive at least seven (7) days prior to your event date. We ship only to a valid residence, office or hotel street address within Texas (we cannot ship to P.O. Box). All orders are shipped in a high quality corrugated box.
A pre-paid return shipping label is included with every order. To return your rental order, place all rental items in the original shipping box, seal the box, and place the return shipping label over the old shipping label, and deliver the box to any authorized UPS pick-up site. Be sure to return all rental items as listed on the packing slip included in your order. We are not responsible for any personal property returned with the rental order.
Late Fees, Damages and Replacement Fees: All rental orders must be shipped back to James & James Formalwear no later than 3 days following your event date. Orders must be returned in the original James & James Formalwear shipping box. Your order will be considered returned when you follow these return instructions and deliver the box to any authorized FedEx or UPS pick-up location. Orders not timely returned will be charged at the rate of 25% of the total Rental Fee, per day. Any Products not marked shipped within 3 days of your event shall be deemed lost or appropriated and, in addition to Late Fees, you will be charged Product replacement fees ("Replacement Fees") as detailed below.
When you rent Products from James & James Formalwear, an Accidental Damage Waiver is added to the cost of your order. This waiver covers only damages that can be repaired through normal dry cleaning or minor tailoring. If we determine that a rental Product is damaged beyond repair, or if a rental Product is not returned, you will be charged a Replacement Fee for the item. Replacement Fees for individual items are as follows: Coat $500; Pants $200; Shirt $75; Vest $100; Cuff Links/Studs $50; Ties $50; Suspenders $50; Cummerbunds $50; Pocket Squares $25; Shoes $150; Garment Bag $10. Unauthorized alterations made to a Product will result in an additional charge to return the Product to its original size.
You will be responsible for Late Fees, Replacement Fees and any other damage charges collectively, the "Fees") associated with Products you ordered and for any orders for Products initiated from your account. If we are unable to collect Fees owed by a member of a groom's wedding party, the groom shall be responsible for paying such Fees. If you do not pay the amounts you owe to us when due, then we will need to institute collection procedures. You agree to pay our costs of collection, including without limitation reasonable attorneys' fees.
No Warranty: We do not make any representations or warranties about the products and all disclaimers set forth in the Terms & Conditions of Use will apply to the products and any other activities under this agreement.
Personal identification information
We may collect personal identification information from Users in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to, when Users visit our site, register on the site, place an order, fill out a form, subscribe to the newsletter and in connection with other activities, services, features or resources we make available on our Site. Users may be asked for, as appropriate, name, email address, mailing address, phone number, credit card information,
Users may, however, visit our Site anonymously.
We will collect personal identification information from Users only if they voluntarily submit such information to us. Users can always refuse to supply personally identification information, except that it may prevent them from engaging in certain Site related activities.
Non-personal identification information
We may collect non-personal identification information about Users whenever they interact with our Site. Non-personal identification information may include the browser name, the type of computer and technical information about Users means of connection to our Site, such as the operating system and the Internet service providers utilized and other similar information.
